Performance Data Analyst (GMT)

About the role

Q-Sourcing Limited, trading as Q-Sourcing Servtec, a manpower management solutions firm operating across East Africa, is recruiting on behalf of its client Old Mutual Insurance Uganda. It is hiring three Performance Data Analysts (GMT) in Kampala to analyse complex performance data, generate actionable insights and build data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and support strategic decisions. The role works with large data sets using statistical methods and machine learning.

Key responsibilities

• Use Power BI to build and maintain dashboards, reports and visualisations for stakeholders.
• Communicate data insights clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, identifying trends and patterns that support investment decisions and risk management.
• Design and deploy AI and ML techniques to automate tasks such as data cleaning, report generation and anomaly detection.
• Develop and implement AI/ML models to improve productivity, decision speed and time efficiency.
• Work with heads of function and reporting roles to embed a data-driven culture.
• Stay up to date with Power BI, visualisation, reporting and AI/ML trends in insurance and financial services.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (within 2 years) with a first-class or second-upper honours degree in Accounting & Finance, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Financial Informatics or Mathematics.
• Excellent analytical, data modelling, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience creating dashboards and using business intelligence tools.
• Strong proficiency in Power BI and data analysis tools, including Python, SQL, R and Excel.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
