Technical Operations Specialist

About the role

in24 is a micro-asset finance company whose technology connects core banking, mobile money payments, client communication tools, field applications and APIs. As Technical Operations Specialist, you will keep the technology behind daily operations running reliably, supporting colleagues, resolving technical issues, administering business systems and improving existing code and tools. The role reports to the Global Technology Head and is based in Kampala.

Part of your time, up to half at the start, is seconded to Urban Greens, a partner company, to build operational systems and automations and contribute to its Grower Management Platform. You remain an in24 employee throughout, and the split is agreed monthly.

Key responsibilities

• User and system support: resolve account, email and application issues, manage user access across Google Workspace, Musoni, Zoho and other systems, and support the credit team and distribution partners with Musoni.
• Monitor and enforce basic IT security and data protection standards.
• Administer Musoni, including accounts, forms, workflows and product settings.
• Monitor Zoho Voice and Africa's Talking, and MTN MoMo and Airtel Money payments, investigating failed or delayed transactions.
• Monitor Windmill workflows and payment data in Supabase, resolving or escalating failures.
• Make small, tested changes to existing Python code using Git and GitHub, document recurring issues and automate solutions where practical.
• Assist the Global Technology Head with analytics, reporting, system testing and new tool rollouts.
• For Urban Greens: implement operational systems and automations, and manage user accounts across their systems.

Required profile

• At least two years of professional experience working with code.
• Able to read, write and debug Python scripts and SQL queries.
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Autonomous, methodical and patient with people; comfortable with routine work and willing to relocate to Kampala.

• Nice to have: core banking, CRM or client communication platform experience; mobile money or digital payments; Snowflake, Supabase; REST APIs and webhooks; Tableau; workflow automation and data visualization tools.
