Physics/Mathematics Teacher

About the role

The Physics/Mathematics Teacher will deliver secondary‑level instruction in Physics and Mathematics to students in the Serere community, following Uganda’s national curriculum. The role is situated within a Christ‑centered, non‑profit environment that emphasizes holistic development and academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Physics and Mathematics lessons aligned with the national secondary syllabus.
• Develop schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment schedules for all assigned classes.
• Use diverse teaching methods, demonstrations and problem‑solving activities to meet varied learning styles.
• Set, administer and mark tests, assignments and examinations, providing timely feedback.
• Track learner performance, identify gaps and offer remedial support as needed.
• Prepare students for national and internal examinations, ensuring full syllabus coverage.
• Organise and supervise practical Physics laboratory sessions, guiding safe and correct use of equipment.

Required profile

• Committed to a Christ‑centered, mission‑driven educational environment.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience in secondary Physics and Mathematics.
• Ability to develop lesson plans, assessments and remedial programmes.
• Willingness to work full‑time on‑site in a rural community setting.
