Sales Agent - Insurance Agency

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Agent based in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The agent identifies and engages potential clients, presents business planning and advertising solutions, and promotes insurance and development services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct sales calls and meetings, follow up on leads, prepare proposals and close sales to meet or exceed set targets.
• Provide customer service support, respond to inquiries and maintain accurate records of client interactions and sales activities.
• Collaborate with the training team to understand service offerings and take part in client training sessions.

Required profile

• A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
• Prior experience in sales or client-facing roles in Kampala or similar markets.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, and proven sales abilities including lead generation, negotiation and closing deals.
• Knowledge of insurance products and the ability to explain terms and benefits clearly.

Required skills

• Training-related skills, such as presenting basic business concepts and supporting client learning.
• Familiarity with business planning or advertising.
• Basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, CRM tools).
• Ability to work toward clear sales targets.
