Sales Agent - Microfinance

About the role

Platinum Credit Limited, a licensed microfinance company in Kenya, is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Agent in Kampala. The agent identifies potential clients, promotes the company's financial products and guides customers through the application and approval process.

Key responsibilities

• Engage prospects and follow up on leads and existing customers
• Explain loan terms and conditions and conduct basic needs assessments
• Ensure accurate completion and submission of documentation
• Deliver high-quality customer service and meet assigned sales targets
• Collaborate with colleagues and take part in ongoing training on products, policies and compliance

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Finance or a related field preferred
• Previous experience in microfinance, banking or financial services is an advantage
• Willingness to take part in ongoing product and compliance training
• Ability to work on-site in Kampala, multitask in a fast-paced environment and uphold high ethical and professional standards

Required skills

• Strong verbal and written communication with a wide range of clients
• Customer service: managing inquiries, resolving concerns and maintaining positive relationships
• Sales: prospecting, negotiation, closing deals and working toward targets
• Basic understanding of insurance or related financial products, able to explain benefits and terms
