Sales & Marketing Manager (Hospitality Industry)

About the role

The Sales & Marketing Manager will lead revenue‑generation activities for a hotel, focusing on accommodation, conference and events streams. Working closely with the Commercial Director, you will develop strategies to increase occupancy, attract new corporate clients and maximise overall hotel profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth by creating and executing programmes that boost occupancy and event bookings.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold calling, on‑site visits and sales tours.
• Maintain relationships with major groups and corporate accounts, handling bids, RFPs and contract sign‑offs.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives with internal teams and external vendors, and ensure promotional materials are distributed.
• Participate in weekly revenue meetings, function sheet briefings and departmental meetings.
• Prepare forecasts, budgets and regular performance reports, monitoring expenses against targets.
• Lead, coach and evaluate the sales and marketing team, fostering a collaborative culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel sales and marketing or a similar hospitality environment.
• Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and competition.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to manage key accounts.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
