School Driver – Transport Students Safely

About the role

The AsOne Nursery & Primary School is seeking a reliable, full‑time driver to safely transport students, staff and visitors between the school, homes, field trips and community events. You will operate the school coaster and van, ensuring punctual and secure travel for all passengers.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the school coaster and van on designated routes, adhering to schedules and Ugandan traffic laws.
• Assist younger children with boarding and alighting, maintain order on board, and never leave children unattended.
• Perform daily pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections, keep vehicles clean, and report any faults immediately.
• Coordinate routine servicing, maintain up‑to‑date insurance and statutory documents, and log mileage, fuel use and incidents.
• Comply with all safety regulations, hold valid Class D and D1 licences, and respond appropriately to emergencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 36 months of professional driving experience.
• Valid Ugandan Class D and D1 driving permits throughout employment.
• Ability to follow schedules, maintain discipline among child passengers and report concerns.
