Second Deputy Vice Chancellor – Finance & Administration

About the role

The Second Deputy Vice Chancellor (Finance and Administration) will support the Vice‑Chancellor in overseeing the university’s financial and administrative functions. This senior leadership position is responsible for strategic planning, policy development, and ensuring efficient operations across multiple support areas.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, and reporting for the university.
• Oversee human resources, legal affairs, health services, ICT, and other administrative units.
• Develop and implement university policies, guidelines, and strategic plans.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of finance, HR, legal, health, and ICT teams.
• Support the Vice‑Chancellor in overall university governance and decision‑making.

Required profile

• Proven senior management experience in finance, administration, or related fields, preferably in higher education.
• Strong leadership and governance capabilities.
• Excellent understanding of university financial systems and administrative processes.
• Ability to develop and implement policies and strategic initiatives.
