Senior Data Officer – Ethiopia (Kampala/Remote)

About the role
The Senior Data Officer will support IMPACT Initiatives' Ethiopia mission, providing technical data support to the Sectoral Unit, Intersectoral Unit and PANDA Team. The position is based in Kampala with remote work options and may require travel to Addis Ababa. It is a six‑month fixed‑term contract starting 1 June 2026.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance to Ethiopia mission units in data collection, management and analysis.
- Support the production of humanitarian information products and databases.
- Collaborate with the Data Specialist to ensure data quality and consistency across projects.
- Travel to Addis Ababa as needed to coordinate on‑site activities.
Required profile
- Senior‑level experience in data handling within humanitarian or development contexts.
- Ability to work remotely while maintaining effective communication with teams in multiple locations.
- Willingness to travel internationally for short‑term assignments.
- Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
Required skills
- GIS (Geographic Information Systems) expertise.
