Service Center Technician

About the role

The Service Center Technician ensures excellent customer service by repairing faulty units, managing spare‑part inventory, and supporting field technicians within a designated region. The role balances hands‑on technical work with operational planning to meet monthly sales and revenue targets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily work orders, close loops with customers, and coordinate deliveries through the service tracking desk.
• Assign and optimise field technicians for high‑value customers unable to visit the centre.
• Forecast monthly spare‑part demand, place orders, and maintain inventory accuracy for spares and finished goods.
• Implement out‑of‑warranty policies, ensure consignment paperwork, and guarantee 100% return of used parts for refurbishment analysis.
• Produce monthly stock‑take summaries and support continuous ticketing training for the field team.
• Monitor KPIs such as revenue, collections, and operational excellence.

Required profile

• Diploma or equivalent in an engineering‑related field.
• 1‑2 years proven experience as a technician (e.g., solar energy products, home electronics, mobile phones).
• Strong communication skills, positive attitude, and a focus on rapid issue resolution.
• Excellent organisational, multitasking, and time‑management abilities.
