About the role
The Immunology Technician will support laboratory operations at Makerere University, ensuring safety, equipment functionality, and assistance with student practicals and research activities.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures and safety guidelines in the laboratory.
- Maintain equipment and facilities in functional condition and ensure a clean working environment.
- Assist in preparing students’ practical sessions, industrial training, internships, and fieldwork.
- Participate in research and consultancy projects to promote best practices.
Required profile
- Honours Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Laboratory Technology or Biomedical Sciences with a specialization in Immunology or Molecular Biology.
- At least 3 years of experience working in medical immunology or molecular biology laboratories.
