About the role
The Technician will support the Obstetrics & Gynaecology department by supervising simulation surgical training, managing laboratory resources, and assisting with practical teaching.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and assist students and staff in obstetrics and gynecological simulation surgical skills during theatre time.
- Maintain the surgical skills training laboratory and manage laboratory equipment and facilities.
- Generate reports, inventories, orders and budgets for the unit.
- Prepare and supervise students’ practical sessions and support academic staff in teaching.
- Implement and maintain quality‑assurance, safety and regulatory guidelines.
- Induct and mentor junior staff on technical skills.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or midwifery with evidence of surgical skills training.
- At least 3 years (36 months) of relevant work experience.
- Age must not exceed 55 years at the time of application.
Required skills
- Simulation surgical skills.
- Laboratory equipment management.
- Proficiency in using machines and computers.
