Cashier – Hospitality & Hotel

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cashier to join our hospitality team at Latitude Zero Degrees Kampala. The role focuses on accurate financial transactions, guest service excellence, and supporting food & beverage revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Process cash, credit card, cheque and foreign currency payments following hotel procedures.
• Verify and settle orders in the POS system, ensuring accurate billing and room charge handling.
• Maintain daily records of restaurant covers, reconcile POS data with physical counts, and prepare end‑of‑shift cash reports.
• Safeguard the restaurant’s house bank, monitor till balances and ensure secure custody of cash.
• Support F&B revenue initiatives by upselling, promoting specials, and collaborating with the F&B Manager.
• Adhere to hotel policies, quality standards and continuously improve guest experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 24 months (2 years) experience in a cashier or similar role within hospitality.
• Mid‑level qualification with proven ability to handle high‑volume transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
