Measurement Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager

About the role

The Measurement Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Manager will lead the development and implementation of MEL systems for Seed Global Health’s program in Uganda. Working closely with the country team, the global MEL team and partners, the role ensures evidence‑based decision‑making and continuous improvement across all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and execution of the country team’s Measurement, Evaluation and Learning plans aligned with Seed’s strategic objectives.
• Develop, maintain and strengthen MEL systems and processes to capture high‑quality data and generate actionable insights.
• Provide technical leadership, oversight and strategic management for all MEL initiatives within the country program.
• Collaborate with partners, stakeholders and the global MEL team to ensure data quality, reporting standards and learning dissemination.
• Monitor program performance, conduct evaluations and translate findings into recommendations for program improvement.
• Support capacity building of staff in MEL methods and tools.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading MEL functions in health or development programs.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into strategic recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multi‑disciplinary teams and external partners.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to diverse audiences.
