Production Manager

About the role

The Production Manager will lead all aspects of food production, from planning and preparation to cooking and packaging, ensuring high client satisfaction and strict adherence to food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee planning, preparation, cooking, tray set‑up and food packing sections.
• Implement standard operating procedures, staff training, allocation, and cost management.
• Create, maintain and follow up on recipes and cooking methods.
• Control labor and food costs, manage daily schedules, rosters and supply plans.
• Monitor orders, receipts and material outputs via the ERP system.
• Develop purchasing forecasts and optimise daily trackers.
• Implement and track KPIs such as material loss, hours worked and occupational health & safety.
• Collaborate with the QHSE manager to maintain HACCP, cleaning, equipment maintenance, pest control and safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of management experience, preferably in catering or food production.
• Strong knowledge of culinary production techniques, food legislation, cold‑chain management and hygiene/safety rules.
• Fluent in English; additional language is a plus.
• Rigorous, organised, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage priorities under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with production‑management ERP systems.
• Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards.
