Sales Representative – Insurance Agency (Kampala)

About the role

The Sales Representative will work on-site in Kampala for an insurance agency, focusing on generating new business and nurturing existing client relationships. This full‑time position involves presenting agency services, managing a sales pipeline, and closing deals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities.
• Reach out to potential clients and present insurance services.
• Manage the sales pipeline and track progress.
• Conduct client meetings, presentations, and prepare proposals and quotations.
• Negotiate terms and close sales agreements.
• Maintain relationships with existing clients and follow up on leads.
• Collaborate with account and creative teams to tailor solutions.
• Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.

Required profile

• Strong client relationship and communication abilities, including active listening and clear presentation.
• Proven sales and business development experience, preferably in advertising, marketing, media or a related field.
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing concepts.
• Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related discipline is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM tools.
• Comfort using email and productivity software (e.g., MS Office).
• Experience preparing proposals and managing sales pipelines.
