About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Sales Team Manager to lead our insurance sales team in Kampala. This full‑time, on‑site position will drive revenue growth by coaching, motivating and developing a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan, assign and monitor daily sales activities to meet revenue targets.
  • Track individual and team performance, preparing regular reports for senior leadership.
  • Conduct team meetings, one‑on‑one coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Design and deliver training programmes on product knowledge, sales techniques and customer service.
  • Analyse sales data, identify trends and recommend actions to improve results.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department on campaigns and lead generation.
  • Ensure a consistent, high‑quality experience for clients and prospects.
  • Participate in key customer interactions and support the team in closing complex deals.

Required profile

  • Proven leadership and team‑management experience, with a track record of setting goals and improving performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, able to present to groups and stakeholders.
  • Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to build long‑term client relationships.
  • Experience in training, coaching or mentoring sales professionals.
  • Demonstrated success in sales, preferably within business services, training or consulting.
  • Ability to work on‑site in Kampala, manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Sales Management or related field; professional certifications are a plus.
