Supply Chain Consultant – Emergency Health Infrastructure

About the role

The Supply Chain Consultant will provide technical and operational oversight for the installation, commissioning, and handover of field infrastructure supporting emergency health preparedness and response. The role ensures all activities meet approved designs, technical specifications, quality standards and project timelines while coordinating with contractors, manufacturers, government counterparts and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide project management and technical oversight for the installation and commissioning of field hospital facilities.
• Develop and implement installation work plans, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Supervise contractors, monitor site preparation and installation progress against approved layouts.
• Coordinate deployment and use of installation equipment such as forklifts, trucks and other machinery.
• Liaise with engineers and technical specialists to resolve installation issues.
• Monitor project risks, provide progress updates and maintain relevant documentation.
• Support inspections, testing, commissioning and final handover of completed facilities.

Required profile

• University degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3‑5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations, including at least three years in humanitarian or emergency settings.
• Experience supporting installation or deployment of field hospitals or emergency infrastructure is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to manage engineering, infrastructure, logistics or construction projects in complex operational environments.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders, contractors, suppliers and government counterparts.
