Team Leader – Nakawa (International Trade Finance)

About the role

The Team Leader – Nakawa will manage daily operations of the Kampala office, ensuring the efficient delivery of international trade finance services. This full‑time position involves coordinating tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to meet service targets and client expectations while fostering a collaborative, inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations and team performance at the Kampala location.
• Coordinate tasks, set priorities, and track progress against service targets.
• Guide, mentor, and support team members through regular meetings and coaching.
• Handle key client inquiries and prepare performance and compliance reports.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with senior management to implement process improvements.
• Maintain proactive problem‑solving and clear communication across workflows.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and team‑management experience, including coaching and conflict resolution.
• Strong knowledge of finance, banking, or international trade and related regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and time‑management abilities.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala and thrive in a fast‑paced, goal‑driven environment.
• Prior supervisory or team‑lead experience is highly beneficial.

Required skills

• Proficiency with common office software and digital tools.
• Familiarity with financial or trade‑related systems.
