Vehicle Technician – Automotive Service & Repair

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a reputable automotive dealership’s expanding workshop. You will work hands‑on with cars and light trucks, delivering high‑quality maintenance, diagnostics and repairs while providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on customer vehicles, including oil changes, fluid checks and tire rotations.
• Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and interpret service manuals, charts and technical bulletins.
• Explain repair findings and recommendations to customers in a clear, friendly manner.
• Plan and execute repair procedures, testing parts and systems for proper functionality.
• Replace brake pads, wheel bearings, sensors and other components as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop environment and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• NVQ/City & Guilds (or equivalent Level 3) automotive certification.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Associate degree or equivalent qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Professional appearance and strong customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced workshop.
• Willingness to pursue additional certifications and learn on the job.
