About the role
Spearhead microbial water testing, mycotoxin post‑harvest mitigation, and bio‑safe soil fertility protocols across rural cluster cooperatives, supporting planetary health outcomes in Uganda.
Key responsibilities
- Implement field‑level microbiological water quality and aflatoxin screening assays.
- Deliver bio‑pesticide, organic composting, and soil remediation training to cluster cooperatives.
- Manage zoonotic surveillance protocols in collaboration with local veterinary and public health departments.
- Document environmental indicator benchmarks for the GIDA Planetary Health repository.
Required profile
- Degree in Microbiology, Environmental Health, Agronomy, Veterinary Medicine, or Biochemistry.
- 3–5 years of laboratory and field testing experience in rural agricultural environments.
- Hands‑on expertise with rapid bio‑assay kits and environmental health auditing tools.
