Sales Associate - Insurance Agency

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Associate in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The role identifies potential clients, presents agency services and builds long-term business relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and cold call to identify potential clients
• Schedule and attend client meetings, and deliver sales pitches
• Follow up on leads to close opportunities
• Update and maintain CRM records
• Support the preparation of proposals and quotations
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure client satisfaction

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales, recruitment or advertising is an advantage but not strictly required
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is preferred
• Ability to work on-site in Kampala and collaborate with a diverse team

Required skills

• Strong sales and customer relationship skills, including prospecting, negotiation and closing deals
• Communication and presentation skills, with clear explanation of services
• Basic understanding of marketing and business development
• Organizational and time management skills for handling multiple leads and meetings
• Comfort with computers, CRM tools and standard office applications for sales tracking and reporting
