Sales Representative - Advertising Agency

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Representative in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The role focuses on finding new business, building client relationships and promoting the agency's advertising services.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect potential clients and conduct sales meetings and presentations
• Prepare proposals and quotations and negotiate contract terms in line with company guidelines
• Follow up on leads, manage the sales pipeline and meet or exceed sales targets
• Collaborate with internal teams so campaigns are delivered as promised
• Monitor market trends, gather client feedback and report regularly on sales activity and performance

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to build relationships, communicate clearly and present advertising solutions to varied clients
• Previous experience in sales, marketing or advertising, especially in agency or media environments, is highly beneficial
• Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work on-site in Kampala and work with diverse colleagues

Required skills

• Negotiation, closing sales and managing a structured sales pipeline
• Strong organization and time management for multiple prospects, meetings and follow-ups
• Comfort with basic digital tools such as email, CRM or sales tracking software and office productivity apps, with willingness to learn new systems
