Supply Chain Specialist – Cold Chain Equipment Project

About the role

The Supply Chain Specialist will support Uganda’s national immunization program by strengthening cold chain equipment monitoring, vaccine stock tracking, and digital health systems. Working closely with the Ministry of Health, UNEPI, and National Medical Stores, the role focuses on data‑driven decision‑making to improve equipment performance and supply chain efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support to MoH/UNEPI and NMS for cold chain equipment monitoring, maintenance planning, and vaccine stock oversight.
• Lead analysis and use of cold chain and vaccine supply chain data to guide planning, repairs, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions.
• Oversee upgrades to the Cold Chain Information System (CCIS) and coordinate with partners and consultants.
• Define requirements for digital system integration, interoperability, and effective data use across immunization supply chain platforms.
• Support data management, analysis, visualization, and utilization at national and sub‑national levels.
• Develop and review technical guidance, training manuals, SOPs, user guides, and quick reference materials.
• Represent PATH in technical working groups, coordination forums, and stakeholder meetings.
• Document and share implementation lessons through webinars, communities of practice, and other technical platforms.
• Assist with project planning, budgeting, monitoring, reporting, and coordination of cold chain and digital health interventions.
• Contribute to business development activities, including stakeholder engagement and proposal preparation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Public Health, Global Health, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Health Informatics, Digital Health, or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting Ministry of Health, national immunization programs, or similar health‑focused supply chain initiatives.
