Accountant – Commercial Finance

About the role

Join Tunga Nutrition, a Nutreco company, as an Accountant supporting commercial finance across Uganda. You will strengthen financial control and transparency for a network of depots, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance in a purpose‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Own reconciliations across multiple depots, matching invoices, stock movements and customer balances.
• Monitor and manage accounts‑receivable reconciliations, allocating payments and resolving discrepancies.
• Perform regular controls and spot‑check audits at depot locations to ensure policy compliance.
• Partner with commercial teams and customer‑facing stakeholders to embed financial discipline in daily operations.
• Collaborate with the Receivables Accountant and General Ledger Manager on balances, stock controls and reporting.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented, accountable and comfortable working in a hands‑on operational setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is a strong advantage.
• 2–5 years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Experience with accounts receivable, reconciliations or stock‑related finance is a plus.
• Strong analytical ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• High integrity when handling financial information.
• Willingness to travel regularly across Uganda (approximately 40% of the time).
