Graduate Trainee – Global Markets

About the role

This Graduate Trainee position supports Global Markets trading, sales, and structuring teams. You will develop market expertise while assisting with pricing, execution, and risk‑management activities under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse market developments, trends and economic indicators to provide insights for trading and client solutions.
• Support pricing, structuring and valuation of financial instruments, ensuring accuracy and alignment with market movements.
• Assist in trade execution and lifecycle management, including capture, validation, reconciliation and reporting.
• Develop an understanding of trading risks and risk‑management frameworks to aid monitoring and decision‑making.
• Collaborate with sales and structuring teams to deliver client‑focused solutions.

Required profile

• First degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Technology, Statistics or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum CGPA of 4.0 (or equivalent) with strong academic performance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
• Strong recommendations from the Dean’s Office or academic faculty (advantageous).

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Exposure to programming or data tools such as Python and SQL (advantageous).
• Quantitative and data‑analysis capability.
• Basic financial market analysis and interpretation.
