Head of Sales & Marketing – Edible Oils & Fats (FMCG)

About the role

The Head of Sales & Marketing for Edible Oils & Fats will steer the commercial strategy of a leading FMCG business. Reporting to the Customer Response Team, you will own the full P&L and drive growth, profitability and brand performance across Kenya and regional markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the commercial and category strategy aligned with overall business objectives.
• Own the category P&L, managing pricing, product mix, margins and volume targets.
• Lead business planning and forecasting in partnership with Production, Supply Chain, Finance and other functions.
• Identify and pursue growth opportunities through portfolio optimisation, innovation and value‑added products.
• Direct regional sales heads, trade marketing lead and sales operations to ensure execution excellence.
• Drive customer‑centric, data‑driven decision making and operational agility across the sales and marketing value chain.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 12 years of experience in FMCG sales and marketing.
• Proven track record of managing large commercial teams and delivering P&L responsibility.
• Strong strategic thinking, commercial acumen and ability to navigate complex market dynamics.
• Experience in category management for edible oils, fats or related consumer goods.
