HR Officer – Talent Acquisition (4-month contract)

About the role
Raising The Village is seeking a proactive HR Officer specialized in Talent Acquisition to support its rapid growth in Uganda. This four-month temporary position will focus on end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and HR administration, ensuring the organization attracts and retains high-quality talent.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies aligned with organizational staffing needs.
- Maintain recruitment database, source candidates through job adverts, online channels and job fairs.
- Create job descriptions, shortlist applicants, schedule and conduct screening calls, assessments and interviews.
- Prepare contracts, personnel files and coordinate background checks.
- Facilitate onboarding processes, including enrollment in medical benefits and HRIS entry.
- Support cross-department coordination, staff benefits administration and employee engagement activities.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on recruitment and onboarding.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across functions.
Required skills
- Experience with recruitment databases and applicant tracking systems.
- Knowledge of HR information systems and staff benefits administration.
