About the role
We are seeking a Lecturer for the Department of Chemistry at Makerere University. The role involves teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students, supervising research projects, and contributing to the department’s academic and outreach activities.
Key responsibilities
- Teach, examine and grade chemistry courses.
- Supervise student research and guide project development.
- Mentor junior academic staff.
- Conduct research and community outreach initiatives.
- Write proposals to attract funding for departmental projects.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the Head of Department.
Required profile
- PhD in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry.
- Alternatively, a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry.
- An honors Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Chemistry or BSc in Chemical Engineering.
