About the role

We are looking for an experienced cook to supervise our school lunchtime and canteen operations. The role combines food preparation with a strong focus on child nutrition and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare daily meals and snacks for children according to the school menu.
• Maintain strict food hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Organise and keep the kitchen clean and well‑stocked.
• Collaborate with school staff to design balanced, nutritious menus that meet dietary and allergy requirements.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a school, preschool, or child‑focused catering environment.
• Knowledge of child nutrition, dietary restrictions and food allergies.
• Responsible, meticulous, and consistent in maintaining cleanliness.
• Friendly attitude and positive interaction with children.

Required skills

• Food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Menu planning for children.
• Understanding of allergy management in food preparation.
