Truck Driver – Full-time, On-site in Kampala

About the role

WIKZA INVESTMENT LIMITED is seeking a reliable full‑time driver to operate its trucks from its Kampala base. The role involves transporting goods safely to designated locations while upholding the company’s standards of safety, punctuality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to deliver goods to customers and partners.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
• Maintain basic cleanliness and condition of the vehicle.
• Accurately record delivery details, mileage and any incidents.
• Coordinate with dispatch, supervisors and customers, communicating clearly about schedules and deliveries.

Required profile

• Valid Class A CDL (or equivalent heavy‑vehicle licence) with a clean driving record.
• Experience driving commercial trucks safely and efficiently.
• Good communication and customer‑service skills.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle safety checks and routine inspections.
• Familiarity with Kampala and surrounding routes is an advantage.
