Volunteer Fundraising & Communications Assistant

About the role

Amani Community Health Partners Uganda is seeking a motivated student, recent graduate or early‑career professional to support its fundraising and communications activities. This remote, volunteer position offers around 8 hours per week for a six‑month period, providing hands‑on experience working directly with the Executive Director and Board.

Key responsibilities

• Research prospective donors, foundations and corporate partners.
• Build and maintain the donor and fundraising pipeline.
• Support donor outreach and follow‑up activities.
• Identify grant and funding opportunities.
• Assist in preparing funding proposals and applications.
• Help coordinate fundraising campaigns.
• Create and schedule social media content.
• Develop donor updates, impact stories and fundraising materials.

Required profile

• Student, recent graduate or early‑career professional.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently.
• Interest in fundraising, communications, global health or international development.
