Accountant – US GAAP/UK GAAP Expertise

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage daily accounting operations and deliver accurate financial reporting. The successful candidate will support business growth by ensuring compliance with US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles and providing strategic financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, including expenses, revenue, and invoices in the general ledger.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with US GAAP or UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Perform bank reconciliations, monitor accounts payable/receivable and ensure tax compliance.
• Compute tax payments, prepare tax returns and process payroll according to local regulations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and expense monitoring to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP or UK Accounting Principles (IFRS/UK GAAP).
• CPA (US) or ACCA/ACA/CIMA (UK) preferred.
• Excellent analytical abilities, high attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel.
• Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage or SAP.
