Coordinator, Logistics Emergency Response Team (ERT)

About the role

The Coordinator, Logistics Emergency Response Team (ERT) supports International Medical Corps’ emergency deployments, ensuring that logistics, procurement and IT functions run smoothly from preparedness through demobilisation. Reporting to the mobile medical unit team leader, the role represents logistics within the Response Management Team and liaises with external partners such as UN clusters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage warehouse, asset tracking and reporting for mobile deployments, including customs clearance and dangerous‑goods certification.
• Oversee procurement of local and international supplies, implement tracking systems and ensure value for money.
• Coordinate power supply, communication (radio, satellite, wired/wireless) and IT infrastructure for base‑camp operations.
• Lead fleet and transport management, including vehicle acquisition, driver training, fuel management and insurance compliance.
• Supervise a multi‑functional logistics team, handling performance management, workload distribution and capacity building.
• Participate in assessment teams to define sourcing, contracting, import permits and base‑camp set‑up.

Required profile

• Proven experience in logistics, procurement or supply chain within humanitarian or emergency settings.
• Ability to manage multi‑disciplinary teams and coordinate with UN and other partner agencies.
