Engineering Manager - Web

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our Web team, driving the design and delivery of high‑quality software solutions. The role combines hands‑on development with people leadership, ensuring the team meets its goals while maintaining strong engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate sound engineering principles by directly contributing to the team’s objectives.
• Estimate work, set goals and ensure they are met on schedule.
• Design, implement and document well‑tested software using Web technologies or Flutter.
• Debug and resolve issues reported by users.
• Participate in code and architectural reviews as part of the engineering process.
• Collaborate with community and colleagues on technical specifications.
• Contribute to technical documentation and improve engineering and operations practices.
• Deploy, operate and advocate for the services developed by the team.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge and passion for web and software development.
• Exceptional academic record and a degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
• Proven track record of exceeding expectations and delivering on schedule.
• Professional communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience designing and writing high‑quality web applications.
• Ability to work independently, stay well‑organised and self‑start.
• Willingness to travel twice a year for company events.
