Executive Search Lead – Technology

About the role

Canonical is seeking an Executive Search Lead for its Technology division. The role focuses on designing and executing search strategies, coaching senior leaders, and delivering data‑driven hiring insights.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement end‑to‑end search strategies for senior technology roles, ensuring smooth pipeline progression.
• Coach senior leadership on talent attraction techniques and conduct behavioural interviews to uncover motivations.
• Analyse hiring data using SQL or Python to identify trends and provide real‑time analytics.
• Build and maintain relationships with global stakeholders to align hiring agendas and monitor results.
• Champion diversity and inclusion by removing unconscious bias from sourcing and interview processes.

Required profile

• Professional headhunting experience in a reputable executive search firm or in‑house function, with a proven track record sourcing senior technology talent.
• Strong academic background with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology or a people‑focused discipline and solid high‑school maths.
• Excellent organisational skills for remote work and willingness to travel 2‑4 times a year for company events.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis.
• Experience with LinkedIn Talent modules, Greenhouse ATS, Thomas International and DISC profiling tools.
