Facilitator/Trainer for Online Renewable Energy Awareness Sessions

About the role

The Solar Pledge East Africa (SPEA) project seeks a qualified facilitator/trainer to design and deliver five online learning modules on renewable energy, gender inclusion, sustainability, resource mobilisation and waste management. The role runs over five consecutive weeks, with one two‑hour session each week, targeting around 30 participants from diocesan institutions in Kenya and Uganda.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive content and learning materials for five thematic modules.
• Deliver weekly two‑hour interactive online sessions using presentations, case studies and practical exercises.
• Integrate gender considerations throughout all modules and ensure practical relevance to diocesan contexts.
• Provide participants with presentation materials, share meeting links in advance, and facilitate discussions.
• Prepare a brief end‑of‑series summary highlighting lessons learned, key issues and recommendations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of renewable energy technologies and energy efficiency measures.
• Understanding of gender inclusion principles in renewable energy projects.
• Experience in resource mobilisation and proposal development for energy initiatives.
• Familiarity with waste management practices for solar panels, batteries and related equipment.
