Firefighter – Emergency Response & Rescue Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Firefighter to protect lives and property by responding to fires, vehicle accidents, natural disasters, and hazardous material incidents. The role involves rapid decision‑making, physical endurance, and teamwork in high‑stress environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform search, rescue, and firefighting operations for fires, accidents, floods, bomb incidents, and dangerous substance spills.
• Safely operate emergency response vehicles, tools, ladders, hoses, pumps, foam generators, and various nozzles.
• Ventilate structures, connect hoses to hydrants and pumps, and manage water‑charged hose lines of different sizes.
• Conduct salvage and overhaul operations to minimize damage.
• Participate in station drills, emergency‑procedure training, and hazardous‑materials response.
• Respond to hazardous‑materials emergencies in accordance with regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum one (1) year of firefighting experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as IFSAC, DOD, or National Pro‑Board (Fire Fighter II, Hazardous Materials Operations, ARFF optional).
• Current state driver’s license and ability to obtain required certifications.
• Physical ability to meet interior structural firefighting requirements (OSHA 1910.156).
• Willingness to work long hours, in adverse weather, and on short notice.
