Insurance Agency Salesperson – Kampala

About the role

The Insurance Agency is seeking a full‑time Salesperson to work on‑site in Kampala. You will drive new business, nurture client relationships and promote the agency’s advertising and marketing services.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities and prospect leads.
• Conduct sales meetings, presentations and prepare proposals, quotations and contracts.
• Negotiate terms and follow up to close deals, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Collaborate with account managers and creative teams to align client expectations with deliverables.
• Maintain accurate records in the sales pipeline using CRM tools.
• Monitor market trends, gather client feedback and represent the agency at industry events and networking activities.

Required profile

• Proven sales, client relationship management and business development experience in advertising, marketing or related fields.
• Strong written and spoken English communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Understanding of advertising and marketing concepts such as campaign planning, branding and digital marketing fundamentals.
• Ability to work on‑site in a fast‑paced environment, manage multiple opportunities and achieve defined sales targets.
• Prior agency or media sales experience and knowledge of the Kampala market are advantageous.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or equivalent practical experience preferred.
