International Specialty Coffee Sales Manager

About the role

Obato Industries Ltd is seeking an experienced International Specialty Coffee Sales Manager to lead the expansion of Ugandan green and specialty coffee into global markets. The role combines market development, relationship building, and strategic sales execution to drive growth for the company.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and penetrate international markets for Ugandan green and specialty coffee.
• Identify, acquire, and manage new international buyers, roasters, and traders.
• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with coffee customers.
• Lead B2B sales cycles, including negotiations, contracts, and closing deals.
• Design sales strategies, set targets, and achieve revenue goals.
• Monitor global coffee market trends, pricing, and customer preferences.
• Represent Obato at international coffee exhibitions and business meetings.
• Collaborate closely with sourcing, quality control, and logistics teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in coffee sales.
• Proven track record in international/export coffee sales.
• Strong network of international coffee buyers, importers, traders, and roasters.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Commercial, target‑oriented mindset.
• Fluent English.
• Willingness to be based in or relocate to Uganda.

Required skills

• Fluent English language proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of green coffee quality, processing, grading, and specialty coffee standards.
