Key Account Manager – FMCG (Enterprise Business Unit)

About the role

The Key Account Manager – FMCG will lead the Enterprise Business Unit’s efforts to grow sales, strengthen relationships with major FMCG clients and capture new business opportunities across Uganda. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Large Enterprises, the role focuses on expanding market share, driving broadband and voice service adoption, and increasing SME contribution to revenue.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to increase enterprise sales and market share in the FMCG segment.
• Manage and deepen relationships with key accounts, government business community and prospective clients.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including conversion of key prospects and acquisition of new accounts.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of products and services, including fixed broadband, SME internet, mobility services and converged solutions.
• Achieve sales targets aligned with company objectives and monitor key performance indicators.
• Provide superior customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
• Analyze market trends, competitor offerings and customer needs to propose tailored solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in key account management, preferably within telecom or FMCG sectors.
• Strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and ability to manage complex accounts.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a focus on client satisfaction.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Results‑oriented mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
