Programme Associate (G‑6) – Fixed‑term, 3 months

About the role

UNICEF is seeking a Programme Associate (G‑6) for a three‑month fixed‑term assignment in Kampala, Uganda. Working within a Programme Section, you will support the planning, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF programmes, collaborating closely with internal units and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Support overall project planning, execution and monitoring for assigned initiatives.
• Assist in establishing partnership management functions, including risk assessments, due diligence and spot checks.
• Coordinate funding authorisation and Certificate of Expenditure (FACE) requests to ensure alignment with work plans.
• Monitor prompt liquidation of Direct Cash Transfer (DCT) data.
• Collect, analyse and interpret qualitative and quantitative programme data.
• Generate regular reports, dashboards and presentations on key performance indicators and donor reporting.

Required profile

• Under supervision, provide specialised programme and administrative support.
• Engage in data analysis, budget tracking and reporting.
• Exercise judgement, anticipate needs and recommend actions to enhance programme delivery.
