Sales Agent – Insurance & Financial Products

About the role

The Sales Agent will work on‑site at ICEA LION Uganda’s Kamwokya branch in Kampala, promoting a range of insurance, pension and investment solutions. You will engage both new and existing customers, helping them understand product features and select appropriate financial protection.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect, contact and qualify potential clients for insurance, pension and investment products.
• Present product benefits, explain policy terms and prepare tailored proposals.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, responding to inquiries and providing ongoing support.
• Achieve individual sales targets and contribute to branch performance.
• Complete application paperwork accurately and ensure proper documentation.
• Participate in regular training, stay updated on product changes and market trends.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance customer satisfaction and branch growth.

Required profile

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer‑focused attitude with empathy and responsiveness.
• Proven sales ability – prospecting, negotiation and closing.
• Basic understanding of insurance concepts and willingness to learn.
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance or related field preferred.
• Ability to work on‑site in Kampala and uphold high ethical standards.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of insurance products and regulations.
• Ability to absorb new information quickly and apply it in client interactions.
