Sales Associate - Insurance Agency

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Associate in Kampala, reporting to the agency manager within the sales and marketing department. The role identifies and pursues new business, builds and maintains client relationships and promotes the agency's advertising and marketing services.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and reach out to potential clients
• Prepare and deliver sales presentations
• Support proposal development and follow up on leads to move opportunities through the sales pipeline
• Coordinate with account management and creative teams so client needs are understood and proposals match agency capabilities
• Track sales activities and maintain accurate records in CRM tools
• Contribute to sales targets and revenue growth

Required profile

• Demonstrated client relationship management, with clear communication, active listening and professional follow-up
• Sales or business development experience, ideally in advertising, marketing, media or related fields
• Strong presentation and negotiation skills
• Basic understanding of advertising and marketing concepts, including digital channels, brand positioning and campaign execution
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple prospects and deadlines
• Comfortable working on-site in Kampala with local and regional clients
• Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered
