Sales Engineer - Animal Nutrition and Health

About the role

REDA Chemicals, a distributor of specialty chemicals, is hiring a Sales Engineer for its Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH) portfolio in Uganda and the wider African market. Reporting to the Country Manager, the role drives sales and business development with feed mills, poultry farms and animal farms, delivering ingredient solutions and technical support. It is a target-driven position based in Kampala.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic sales plan, identify target customers and set sales objectives to achieve revenue goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with feed mills, poultry and animal farms, offering tailored solutions and excellent customer service.
• Educate customers on the product portfolio through presentations, demonstrations and training sessions.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, market conditions and competitors, and give feedback to management on product development and marketing.
• Prepare sales forecasts, track sales activities and report on key performance metrics.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and contracts, and collaborate with internal teams on pricing strategies.
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences and events, and network with industry professionals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine, Animal Science or Agriculture and Allied Sciences.
• At least 5-6 years of experience selling ingredients to feed mills, poultry and animal farms in Africa.
• Strong knowledge of animal nutrition, feed formulation and the agriculture industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and manage several tasks at once.
• Willingness to travel frequently to meet clients and attend industry events.
