Sales Representative - Insurance Agency

About the role

An insurance agency is hiring a full-time, on-site Sales Representative in Kampala, reporting to the Insurance Agency Manager within the Sales and Marketing department. The person identifies and pursues new business, presents agency services to potential clients and manages the full sales cycle from first contact to closing deals.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct client meetings, prepare sales proposals and negotiate pricing and terms
• Follow up to ensure client satisfaction and retention
• Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to match client needs with agency offerings
• Maintain accurate sales records and meet or exceed sales targets
• Monitor market trends, attend industry events and give feedback to improve services

Required profile

• Prior experience in sales, customer service or account management, preferably in advertising or related fields
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or a related field is beneficial
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, target-driven environment and able to work with cross-functional teams

Required skills

• Sales and business development: prospecting, lead qualification and closing
• Communication, presentation and negotiation, with a focus on client relationships
• Basic knowledge of advertising, marketing and promotional strategies
• Organizational and time management, including record-keeping and follow-up
• Proficiency in common office software and sales tools; familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage
