Salesperson – Field Sales for Clean Water Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Salesperson to join Maji Safi’s team in Kampala. In this full‑time, on‑site position you will promote our clean water and sanitation solutions, build relationships with customers and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and approach prospective customers across Kampala and surrounding areas.
• Present Maji Safi’s products and services, demonstrating their benefits and value.
• Manage the complete sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation, closing, and after‑sales follow‑up.
• Visit customers on a regular basis, maintain accurate sales records and report on performance.
• Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely delivery and installation.
• Gather customer feedback, monitor market trends and suggest improvements to sales strategies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, field marketing or customer‑facing roles, preferably in consumer products or services.
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and meet sales targets.
• Comfortable engaging with diverse communities and explaining technical information in simple language.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
• Minimum diploma or certificate in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Willingness to travel within Kampala and nearby areas.

Required skills

• Basic computer skills, including use of email.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Experience using mobile applications for reporting and communication.
