Senior Social Entrepreneur & Project Development Lead – Africa

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Social Entrepreneur & Project Development Lead to drive innovative social‑enterprise pilots across our African programmes. Based in Kampala, you will work closely with communities in Uganda and Rwanda, travelling regularly to our partner sites in Switzerland and Spain, to turn ideas into viable income‑generating solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and assess economic and social opportunities within target communities.
• Design and test market‑based pilot projects that create sustainable livelihoods.
• Develop business models, operating plans and impact measurement frameworks.
• Engage directly with beneficiaries, local partners and customers to validate assumptions.
• Collaborate with the CEO and senior team to align pilots with organisational strategy.
• Report progress, lessons learned and scale‑up recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in social‑enterprise development or related fields.
• Proven ability to work hands‑on in field settings and manage multi‑country travel.
• Strong understanding of community‑driven development, livelihoods and market analysis.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a results‑oriented approach.
