Software Sales Representative

About the role

A full-time, on-site Software Sales Representative position in Kampala, hired by a client IT and software company. The role covers the full sales cycle, from finding and qualifying prospects to closing deals, and works closely with marketing and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify prospective customers and present software solutions
• Manage the full sales cycle from first contact to closing deals
• Conduct product demonstrations, follow up on leads and prepare proposals
• Maintain accurate sales records and build long-term client relationships
• Meet sales targets and represent the company
• Collaborate with marketing and business development teams on campaigns, gather market feedback and support post-sale account management

Required profile

• Experience managing a structured sales process
• Relevant B2B sales or technology solutions experience is beneficial
• Diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, IT or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
• Ability to work on-site in Kampala and meet defined sales targets

Required skills

• Lead generation: prospecting, qualifying opportunities and building a sales pipeline
• Account management: nurturing relationships and handling renewals
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Knowledge of business planning, advertising or business development is an advantage
