Support Services Manager

About the role

The Support Services Manager will report to the Area Manager and work closely with the Base Manager and Program Managers to ensure all field office support functions operate smoothly and meet programme needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead annual planning for support services, linking targets to the coordination unit and ensuring budgets reflect support requirements.
• Oversee HR functions including recruitment, contracts, timesheets, leave tracking, staff induction, Code of Conduct training, performance reviews and HR reporting.
• Manage administrative tasks such as landlord engagement, sub‑lease agreements, office supplies, utilities payments and lease renewals.
• Supervise logistics and procurement, ensuring tender procedures are followed, fleet movements are coordinated and KPIs are met.
• Hold primary budget responsibility for all support service lines, monitor forecasts, and ensure compliance with donor grant requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in support services management within humanitarian or development organisations.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, procurement, HR, business administration, economics, development studies or related field.
• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, procurement, supply‑chain, fleet and warehouse management, and HR administration.
• Strong knowledge of organisational policies, internal controls, risk management and donor compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
